What are the pros and cons? I am not familiar with this process.

(13,424 posts)Accepting the pardon is an admission of guilt, however. Plus, the pardoned can still be called to testify against others and that guilty acceptance of the pardon can impact the testimony.

(10,952 posts)involved with a criminal act with Manafort the pardon becomes problematic for Trump (particularly if the pardon becomes an attempt to interfere with an ongoing investigation).

(115,732 posts)However, the NY AG, Eric Schneidermann, is said to be working with Mueller regarding NY State financial crimes (probably money laundering), which Trump can't pardon.

It won't help the moron because so many others have already flipped.
There's also legal trouble in store if the moron issues pardons in order to save himself. That could be considered obstruction.

(73,559 posts)However, if he did so at this time, while it would benefit Manafort, it would do serious damage to Trump. (If he had very early on, it would not have done nearly as much harm as it would at this late hour.)
