Russian ChatBots on Twitter Now supporting Florida Vote

Wow, a lot of tweets coming from what must be Russian Chat Bots and fake accounts today.

Avatars of Blonde Bombshells with a number next to their name, all praising the decision's,
one person

someone asked one of the fake accounts today a question, about Philly, they claim to be from
Philliy, and they couldnt answer.

What do we mean when talking about Russian chatbots or simply, bots (e.g. twitterbots)? As opposed to, say, Russia trolls, who I presume are actual people posing as something other than what they are. Are bots always "automated" or is that just another catch-all term for trolls when used in this kind of context?

they couldnt answer.

What they do is retweet and retweet...they get huge numbers and then stuff goes mainstream. They don't have to type text.
