(10,129 posts)The Gateway pundit is just another scourge of society. The funding of this site, and others like it is where the problem lies. Mercers, Kochs, dark money whatever. We have turned into a corrupt, sick society.

(3,335 posts)But we have to remember that a quarter of these kids and their peers will be voting in a year, and another quarter, the year after that and on and on. If we as Democrats are the party that supports them and back their cause, they will remember that when it comes to picking a political party and voting. If Trump disparages them, we have to be the one standing beside them. We'd be smart to help them as much as we can.

(53,792 posts)as these kids will become future Democrats.
And that could be near-future as some may even be able to vote as early as November if they turn 18.
Keep it up stupid repugs.

(844 posts)Are those geniuses who sent out people to expose what actual reporting looks like during the Roy Moore fiasco. They might have fringe assholes reading them but they are like a combo of Breitbart and James OKeefe ( racist , stupid, & hoax hunters that are in fact a hoax)

(4,066 posts)I don't think the young man needed much coaching - if any. He's too composed and clear when he speaks to be just repeating lines he's given. Unlike 45, who can't speak off the cuff, this young man answers questions thoughtfully and cogently because he has his own thoughts.

(22,671 posts)Because there's nothing untrue about what the survivors of the high school mass shooting have said.
And please, give them a little leniency, here. I'll take their word for it over the word of anyone trying to tear them down. These poor young adults have had to live through the experience first hand, of someone with a weapon of war trying to kill them in the most destructive way the killer could possible come up with.
I will not waver from my support of these brave students. They are 100% right on the money with their cause.
However, I will make note of the comments, if any, that I run across from these evil conservative republican Web sites. Karma. When it's their kids or family members being cut to pieces and they come crying for mercy and pity, just guess what I'll remind them of.
Like Emma Gonzales said Saturday. I call B.S.

(11,096 posts)Some Republicans have a right-wing soft spot for kids.
Kids fresh from the horror of a massacre in Parkland.
Kids drinking poisoned water in Flint.
Kids....dead kids....in a grammar school in Newtown.
Kids without health insurance.
Dreamer kids.
Kids who need their arm stamped because a parent didn't pay for a school lunch.
Kids sleeping in homeless shelters
Hungry kids
Kids molested in Alabama
When they go low, another one of them will go even lower.

(10,098 posts)I am sorry, but I fear for these kids, after what they have been through and now will face the wrath of the deplorables. I really think they are in a difficult place. Social media helps them organize and fight for change, but also exposes them. Not sure what I would do if I was a parent of one of them. Makes me tear up even having to type this.
Peace
