Wool makes me itch, and some acrylic yarns feel rather harsh. I'd love to buy one of each.

I have a green and white one made in cotton. Most of the yarn available at mainstream stores (AC Moore, Michael's, etc) is acrylic.

I also have an acrylic one made in a yarn called 'simply soft' and it is definitely not itchy.
