I don't know if it is interesting or worthy but here it is :

Many of you are now used to my posts sharing an European point of view.

Why not showing the toons or some headlines to your local politicians ?

Can that help a little to let them know how America is seen and how fast its image is degrading?

I suppose, many are already aware.

I have noticed that appearances have sometimes more importance than the rest. Can it be an eye opener and help to make a difference ?

Or perhaps it is a bad idea ?

But if they realize they are slowly becoming the laughing stock and loosing all credibility, wouldn't that shake them a bit ?

I can't do much but to the least, collect a few (or many ) witnesses of how America is seen.

5. I think most of our Democratic politicians are very aware of this, as are most Democrats.

I am not so sure that the republicans even care. They seem to think we are self-sufficient and don't need anybody, but they are wrong and they will be the end of us if they are not voted out. We are not as strong and powerful as most republicans like to think we are. We have bombs, but that would be a global disaster. Our influence is waning.

In French we have an expression saying :

16. Totally agree. On conservative Xian school world map, every European country was shown as non-Xian.

Actually meant few fundamentalist, evangelical protestants there. My Catholic friend couldn't believe all the
predominantly Catholic countries were marked non-Xian.
