1. @FoxNews viewers are tweeting rage-filled insults (attached to a Fox tweet) at the kids who survived the Florida slaughter for saying change is needed.
This shows how easily propaganda subsumes humanity. Kids who saw their dead friends, in Fox world, are supposed to shut up..

I'm also wondering if many of these are Russian bots?

(82,849 posts)I said that the Russians clearly knew their audience, and how easily gulled they are. A friend of a friend (foaf) finally got around to responding (he's a charter member of the Nitwit Brigade, and I've pretty much given up on responding to his ridiculousness) with something to the effect that libruls have been fooled, too.
I'm thinking of responding, something to the effect that it's progress of a dubious sort that at least foaf obliquely acknowledges that getting suckered by Russian bots is not a good thing.

(28,795 posts)On the morning after the tragedy, the Russia-linked accounts were commenting fiercely, pushing the crazy lone killer explanation for the shooting and mocking advocates of gun control. According to Hamilton 68, a tracker website created by the German Marshall Fund, a lot of them linked to photos of guns and ammunition on the Instagram account of the suspected killer, plus a screenshot of a Google search for Allahu akbar.
Others linked to a fact-checking website that debunked some statistics about gun crime. By Friday morning, some of the same accounts were also pushing something slightly different: the hashtag #falseflag. Thats a reference to the conspiracy theory, already widespread 48 hours later, that the shooting never happened, that the attack is a false flag operation staged by the U.S. government as a prelude to the seizure of guns.

(1,622 posts)...I just happen to find CNN and MSNBC's "propaganda" infinitely more palatable than the idiotic nonsense FNC would like people to believe.
Totally agree...!

(22,670 posts)Don't even dignify comments to news stories. Stick to and focus our energy on our message. These young adults are fighting for other peoples' lives. They have every right to do so. And I encourage supporting their #enough is enough movement.

(4,642 posts)and I certainly wouldn't believe a thing they say. IMO no fox so called news should ever be posted on DU, no matter what the point is, it just pollutes the site, spreads the propaganda.

(11,443 posts)here in response to a "look what Fox News is pushing" type DU post. Whether it's talking to friends or close relatives, when one of them brings up Fox News' latest bullshit spin, I've usually been able to debunk it. One of the best places to acquire the debunking information is right here on DU.
