What will history say about Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan.

That they were the leaders of the Republican Party when Donald Trump came to power?

That they stood by and did nothing as the President of their own Party betrayed our Constitution and divided our nation for his own personal gain and ego?

That they looked the other way as Donald Trump broke all the laws and all the rules that every president that preceded him had followed? That they did nothing as he blatantly made profits from his position in the White House and ignored the emoluments clause of the Constitution as if it didn't exist?

That they put politics and power over the security of our nation?

That they were asleep at the wheel as our country sank deeper and deeper into crisis?

History is not going to be kind to these two Republicans.

If and when the tide turns, he might very well lead the charge to dump Trump to protect himself and his place in history.

There is no sign of that at this point. I'm keeping an eye on Chou as well as on McConnell's public remarks. Time will tell.

our twice democratically elected, Constitutional scholar president, and handed it over to an ignorant, incompetent, and corrupt traitor who was known to be deeply compromised by Vladimir Putin.

That Ryan was well aware that Trump and Dana Rohrabacher were on the Kremlin payroll and shushed up all parties to a conversation in which another congressman raised the issue.
