The total number of individuals charged in the investigation is now up to 18,2 including an indictment and two guilty pleas from last fall. One of the defendants from last fall, Rick Gates, is reportedly finalizing a plea deal, which would signal that hes ready to cooperate with the investigation.

1). None of those other scandals had so many people involved in so many illegal things.
2. None of the other special prosecutors ever had to seriously consider the real posibility of the president firing him to avoid his own legal jeopardy
