Is Anyone Else Reluctant To Put Anti GOP/Trump Or Anti Gun Stickers On Their Cars?

I have wanted to put bumper stickers on my car go after the GOP, Trump or guns. Yet I am reluctant to. My cars are relatively new and I do not want them keyed. I do not want to be run off the road by a monster truck. And I do not want to get into any kind of confrontation. I believe that things are so incendiary that you could put yourself in danger. Plus my wife does not want me to put anything on her Prius because of the same concerns.

Now there is an elderly lady who has just put her husband in a home. And we have given her rides occasionally. Recently she was commenting that she was driving carefully and some trucks came around her speeding. She has a lot of Democratic bumper stickers on her car. She was wondering if the drivers were reacting to all her bumper stickers.

So I want to protest but I wonder how risky it is these days. I see a lot of these huge trucks being driven around aggressively. Most have younger white males or middle aged white males.

About 8 years ago though. My old truck got knifed because of my Obama stickers. I caught the guy in the act and nearly got into a fight with him. Luckily the store security were there to settle it down and the man was arrested and charged.

I know first hand these people are nuts in person. Reason I carry a knife in my newer truck. I have magnetic anti Trump stickers I can take off when I'm working or doing leisure activities.

I'd invest in magnetic ones. That way you can take them off without you risking road rage or property damage.

Much love

Velcro will be harder to peel off and could strip the paint.

Powerful magnets will work and no damage. Easy to take off when you're parked. Ebay is your friend, they got tons of different anti shitgibbon magnets.

again in my mind. Sounds like a genius invention. It's kind of like a strong drink, kind of like a vitamin. Or a breath of fresh air.

I like it. "anti shitgibbon magnets" - yep, still working!

Whenever you come across a tRumpee...you need to reflect the dumbassery from you? Anti-Shitgibbon magnet! Just apply to your torso and you'll repel all the nasty deplorable things that come within 100 feet. Available at CVS, Walgreen's, Rite-Aid.

I don't believe it does any good, really. It won't convince THEM of anything, and it might make one of US smile, but is that worth risking your car, especially when you live in a very red area like I do?

If you see my car, you will see a sticker from the animal shelter I volunteer for, and one that shows that I foster companion animals.

on an unusually icy night around this time of year back in 2005.

Nearly run off the road. I'm sure my bumper stickers were the inspiration for those rednecks in the jacked up pickup behind me.

Not to worry... we'll never be run off the road in the Honda. The rednecks in Calaveras County, California, stole our car. They did have some help from other neighboring redneck counties.

What a bunch of losers!

We managed to survive, however.

Trump has made America mean. I don’t think political bumper stickers are a very good idea around these crazies.

And have them cut up their magnetic sign material into whatever sizes you need. Affix sticker to material, put it on your car, and throw it in your trunk when you park.

We have a "He's not my president" sticker on the back of our car. And fuck anybody who doesn't like it. Get some comments, mostly somewhat kind like "why don't you give him a chance?" to which I reply - just like you guys gave Obama a chance right? I'm sure you weren't one of those people running around telling everybody that Obama wasn't born in America and that he was a secret Muslim - right? And if they say no - I ask them if they corrected these lies when told by their friends and family members like it says in the good book - y'all ain't supposed to be lyin' and bearin' false witness and such. Because I live in Texas this conversation often ends with a big fat and thoroughly insincere "Have a nice day". Hell, I still see tons of McCain and Palin stickers in this state.

blue CA! Before the election I made my own and my neighbor wouldn't put one on her car for fear of some nut hurting it. I have 5 on mine now (I made all of them). People think they are store bought (I was an illustrator) and want to get some. I wear my Lock Him Up earrings and Russian nesting doll pin all the time and have had to take mine off to give away and I carry extras now. I live in a very blue area of a blue city in a blue state.

The only window sticker I have is one that reads, "Not my circus, not my monkeys." That's the closest I can get to criticizing Trump and the GOP.

But repair folks, cable people, etc, in my home, they will see where I stand.

sticker on my car (a 21 year old mini van)! I live in an area that is purple and goes back and forth (leaned red this election). I like to think the trumpsters know my stance, but who could be against peace and the Beatles or Americorp!!!

I do have a Never Trump sticker on my garage door. But I live on a dead end street so not many folks come by here.

There are a lot of trucks around here. Some of them are actually work trucks so I don't mind them, but the giant ones that are shiny and clean annoy me. Especially because they always seem to be the ones who can't maintain their lanes. That is not good because the roads are hilly and have no shoulder. It is just a reminder of how selfish and inconsiderate some folks are. And I am pretty sure they probably support trump, sticker or no.
