Do alligators on the road ever cause accidents? Haven't heard of any but

ever tie up traffic online? I haven't heard of that but if there are enough of you raccoons out there online it seems like it would happen occasionally.

On the other hand, a good sized gator could do a lot of damage to a vehicle!

6. Funny you should ask.

When I was in high school a friend, in a Corvair, no less, drove over one on one of the back roads on the MS Coast. It busted the underside of her car and caused a gas leak. Fortunately she wasn’t alone and there were a few other cars on the road. And the car didn’t blow up. And the gator (actually not all that big) actually crawled away.

You know what’s worse? Armadillos. God SAVE me from armadillos. You’ll likely not wreck but it’s like hitting a mini tank.

8. Hell yes. Even cause fatalities on occasion.

I hit a big on on an overgrown grass road at the misquito lagoon.

I was like hitting a log and I was only going 15-20 mph.
