I am actually surprised this went outside of cyber warfare, I thought these guys were just using social media, but nope, they actually paid people here in America in real life to do stuff, they acted as actual Americans, had false papers, were literal spies here on the ground in the United States. This is insane.

Could “find” the dupes. I know there were a lot of recent cases of using real names for various letters to be editor and comments to the FCC about net nuetrality.

I saw a previous co-worker responding to the horrible deaths at the high school by saying there are more deaths from abortions.

There is a long history of propaganda organizations more or less supported by rich people and/or governments which engage in activities in other countries ranging from the legitimate to borderline shady to illegal to fomenting coups.
