OMFG! Prepare to cry, scream and wretch. All at once.

Callous RNC staffers try to drown out rally for shooting victims
https://shareblue.com/callous-rnc-staffers-try-to-drown-out-rally-for-shooting-victims/

Republicans have responded to the school shooting in Parkland, Florida, with an incredible callousness. Trump blamed the “classmates” for not stopping the shooting. Texas Sen. Ted Cruz laughed when he was asked what his party would do about gun violence.

But the gold medal for tone deafness might go to a group of Republican National Committee staffers who crashed a rally to honor the Parkland victims on Thursday.

As Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum and activists from the Progressive Change Campaign Committee spoke, the RNC staffers tried to drown them out, chanting “Crumbs! Crumbs! Crumbs!” — an attempt to mock House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi, who said any changes in compensation workers were receiving as a result of the GOP tax scam are “crumbs.”

Rocky Mountain Gun Owners, Colorado's version of NRA, held a pro-gun rally directly across the street from the gathering that had assembled to honor the memory of those killed in the Aurora theater massacre. Dudley Brown, founder of RMGO, deliberately chose that date and location.

Still-grieving Colorado turns out to protest NRA meeting
Gun group remains defiant as 8,000 oppose presence in light of Columbine tragedy
May 02, 1999|By KNIGHT RIDDER/TRIBUNE

DENVER -- As 8,000 anti-gun demonstrators -- rallied by the anguished pleas of the father of a slain Columbine High School student -- marched in protest, the National Rifle Association held a scaled-back meeting here yesterday.

But although the group's members were outnumbered nearly 4-to-1 by the protesters, the mood among NRA members meeting in a basement ballroom was exuberantly defiant.

"Each horrible act can't become an ax for opportunists to cleave the very Bill of Rights that binds us," NRA President Charlton Heston told a cheering overflow crowd, many wearing blue-and-silver Columbine memorial ribbons fastened with NRA buttons.

They try to sow discord and hostility on both sides of American cultural chasms.
Vague “RNC staffers” did a terrible thing...
Russians weren’t able to get the left to start sharing fake news, but I’d expect them to keep trying.

In Iran in the 50s, the US funded BOTH sides of a divide —young men in streets acting as thugs shouting anti-Mossadegh slogans, young men in streets acting as thugs shouting pro-Mossadegh slogans.

Another one is right around the corner, you can count on that sadly.

The killings will never stop as long as republicans and NRA terrorists are in control in Washington DC.
