while Johnson was still president. Nixon tried to hinder negotiations that Johnson was carrying on with North Vietnam to stop the war. Nixon went around Johnson and promised a "better deal" after he was elected. That was a lie too. the war continued even after Nixon was elected for many years..

Yes, Nixon was as big an asshole as this asshole. I recall that Nixon said he had a "secret plan to get us out of the Viet Nam War...that was a lie too,,,there was no plan
