Seth Abramson: If you want to know why Rod Rosenstein says/does what he says/does, here's why:

If you want to understand why Rod Rosenstein says/does what he says/does, let me explain it this way: imagine you're a prosecutor, and the defendant you're prosecuting is your boss. And can fire you.

Now, with that in mind, how would *you* act to keep your job and get your man?

"Now, there is no allegation in this indictment that any American was a knowing participant in this illegal activity. There is no allegation in the indictment that the charge conduct altered the outcome of the 2016 election."

"What I have identified for you are the allegations in the indictment. There are no allegations in the indictment of any effect on the outcome of the election."

Also interesting that none of these individuals are ever going to actually be arrested or tried,

Right. This particular indictment contains none of those particular allegations.

Meanwhile, did you hear the word "conspiracy" dropped today? I sure did. And that's a whole 'nother ballgame.

distinction. I had it on for 6 hours, looking for stuff like that

Sorta seemed as if, once again, they were only too eager to give these swine the benefit of the doubt

Btw, I was just on the radio discussing the importance of the THIS indictment distinction

The guests were very clued in, and tried make a deplorable understand that this very precise statement did NOT let T off the hook; just the opposite....paved the way for the next round of charges to be brought

Do you think mueller might have any of the Lucky 13 squirreled away under protective custody

You know they’re in extreme danger

Makes me think mueller must really be feeling the need to take the pressure off himself and Rosenstein. They must be worried that a move is about to be made against one or both of them

Why else would put their names out there?

I agree. Both Mueller and Rosenstein are at risk here.

But Mueller, don't forget, is a decorated Marine. He's not afraid -- but I'm sure his wife must be.

I wouldn't put it past him.

And yes, the indictees were named, but I doubt that they're in trouble, as long as they stay in Russia.

Maybe in some allied country.

Nikulin (the DNC hacker, probably), is still in jail in the Czech Republic. He's in a tug of war. He's been cleared for extradition both to the US and to Russia, and they're still deciding where to send him .
