The Religious Right Supports Donald Trump,

A serial adulterer, notorious liar, and a thief. Somewhere in that, there is a contradiction. Clearly, critical thinking is not the long suit of the Religious Right. Their support does not follow any logic with which I am familiar.

2. It doesn't count when it's one of 'them'

...adultering is no doubt because these women tempted him. He would only lie to combat the 'fake news' the librals spew at him. He never stole anything, only librals and foreigners steal

I think that's how they see it.

Plus, if confronted, all he has to do is repent and they're happy as can be!

3. I kind of think there is a sort of logic to it

Sin is only for "them", by them, I mean us... the liberal, the other-religious, the non-religious, the religious liberal, etc.

Lying is bad... for us. When they do it, it's a noble lie.

Adultery is bad... for us. When they do it, it's the devil controlling their passions.

Stealing is bad... for us. When they do it, they need the money or else God will call them up home.

So on and so forth.

4. The trouble is, no, there is NO thinking, critical or otherwise

Look at the televangelists who ride in limousines and private jets, bought with money their brainwashed minions tossed at their feet. They cheat on their spouses all the time. When they get caught, they just shed a few tears on camera, beg the Lord for forgiveness, and get instant absolution, like delivered by the robot priest in the film "Sleeper." They ARE serial adulterers.

The congregation's waiting at the altar
They can't find the preacher anywhere
They found him with the new girl from the choir
Where they store the boxes of the book of prayer

--from Bruce Hornsby's "Defenders of the Flag"

Notorious liars? Thieves? Well, if they need to coax money for their luxurious lives from people who can't afford to give it, and then say they're doing God's work, I'd say that qualifies as both lying and grand larceny.

The religious right reveres people who deceive them, and spits venom on anyone who tries to point that out to them. Some people are just LAZY. I'm not talking about the beer belly too lazy to get off his ass and mow the lawn. I'm talking about people who can't be bothered to question whether some convenient, made-up nonsense, and therefore prefer to let someone else think for them, whether it's Jimmy Swaggart or Sean Hannity.

Expose them as charlatans who are not concerned with religious or spiritual matters, but about profits and power.

That's up to the people who claim to follow a religion. I'm an atheist.
