Politicians who take FILTHY NRA money care more about re-election than they do about kids.
They take NRA money not merely because they can or because they want those funds -- but clearly they *need* those funds to make a difference in their campaign.
And remember, we really have no idea how much FILTHY Russian money was laundered through the NRA, or how much of that FILTHY dark money made it into the coffers of various political PACs.
And I can't help but wonder how many tight races the reasonable-gun-policy-side (Democrats) would win, IF, IF, IF we weren't also up against a metric fuck-ton of FILTHY NRA/Russian dark PAC money??
And much of that PAC money makes it into the coffers of TV and radio marketing departments, billions of dollars for ads that most of us won't hear because we hit the mute button and/or change the channel and for printed mailers that most of us toss into the trash without reading.
So, JUST THINK of all those PRECIOUS human lives at stake daily and hourly in this country -- just so that media company advertising executives (who don't give a crap about people) can make oodles of money off airing campaign ads to re-elect politicians (who don't give a crap about people,) who are beholden to the NRA and pro-gun PACS (who don't give a crap about people,) so they can influence policy about gun sales and gun manufacturing market (because ultimately the NRA is in the gun sales business and they don't give a crap about people.)
Because all of them are so flipping addicted to power and influence, that they are willing to sacrifice our children to get back in the Halls of Power or have influence there every two or four years.
All of this resistance and propaganda exists to keep this cycle of money flowing.
That is evil, personified -- Valuing keeping your job more than a kid's life. That's not pro-life and that's not family values.
Aaaargh! FILTHY MONEY!
