This "the overwhelming majority of AR 15 owners are lawful" argument is pure sophistry. The ONLY thing we need to know is that the overwhelming majority of mass shootings are committed using AR 15 type weapons. NO ONE needs an AR. If every one of the millions of AR owners had their AR pried from their fingers, they lost NOTHING they needed. If one kid lost his life because one out of a million AR owners wasn't lawful, that child, the family and the future lost more.
