Every newborn in a hospital nursery could be shot and nothing would be done about guns.

to corporate America and the GOP to assure many more deaths and profits in the future.

The 2nd amendment is plain, simple English. It would take a demented rightwinger to come up with what they came up with.

Nothing is comparable to Sandy Hook so far. Certainly no number of executed highschoolers are goning to make a dent in republican controlled legislature. Putin was evil genius to invest heavily in NRA. This organization like no other can quickly do enormous damage to the country and saw divisions comminity after community. In any other civilized country, NRA would be considered a sponsor of terrorism and banned from operation.

That was a moment where real change could have occurred and the gun lobby responded with such vengance and propaganda that nothing could be accomplished. It breaks my heart. My wife has a dear friend who lost a child at Sandy Hook...their pain and their ongoing struggles with rw nutjobs claiming it was staged etc is unfathomable to me.

And I'm not sure we'll ever be able to right the ship after it. We literally let kids get gunned down and did NOTHING about it.

who still believe today that Sandy Hook was a Hollywood CGI hoax so Obama could declare martial law and grab guns... That was probably the biggest P.R. coup of all...

But if I had to debate, I'd still say Columbine was the official beginning of the end... The NRA has been able to effectively drown out every gun control debate since then...

I have a daughter that is the same age as the victims of Sandy Hook...she is becoming an adolescent now, reaching puberty and nearly a teenager, but every time I see the Sandy Hook victims I am right back to the horror I felt the day I heard about it...I cried that night and for days afterward when I would see stories about it and the total lack of response from society.

Those children and teachers deserved so much more from life than what we allowed them to experience. I 100% agree with the assessment that the United States lost its soul that day, and I do not know if we can get it back, ever....
