1) It's ROTC... He's not in the military

2) If you mean the High School program which is JRTOC which is even farther from the military than ROTC...

3) Anyone trying to make an argument with words like ALL, ALWAYS, NEVER, NOT ONE are usually fallacious and false on their face.

3. ROTC Is One Step Removed From The Military

My understanding is that ROTC is meant for those who aspire to serve in the military.

And reality doesn't lie. There are many incidents involving gun violence or domestic violence, perpetrated by current or former military. And it is even easier, if there is such a thing, for someone with military history to get firearms.
