(6,377 posts)Also, "It's too soon to talk after this tragedy"
And, "Children just died, how could you possibly politicize this?"

(7,528 posts)that was scheduled??? Usually, Presidents want to have a press conference after something like this.
Remember back when Columbine happened, when school shootings (and all mass shootings) were shocking, rare events worth weeks of news coverage and grief and reflection on what we've become?

(7,522 posts)Then it will be too soon all over again. Lot of things fucked up in our country right now but this is near the top of the list and don't see it changing anytime soon. Just sad.

(50,273 posts)Sometimes I wonder why they bother reporting shootings anymore. If nothing happened after Sandy Hook, nothing will ever happen. We'll get 24 hours worth of thoughts and prayers BS and then silence until the next shooting. It's the thing I really, really hate about this country.

(16,109 posts)got shot to death, why would they care about high school kids?
They don't care. They won't care until a shooter starts shooting up someplace where the rich gather in large numbers.

(10,875 posts)To politicize it.
No talk of any gun control, regulations of any sort, up to and including no background Checks.
In fact, theres just never a really good time for that.
We must interpret the second amendment as broadly as possible.
All citizens should own bazookas, tanks, hand grenades and anything theyd like to play war games at their houses and be ready for the government attempted takeover of their lands to give it to illegal immigrants who vote democrat.

(269,004 posts)and hearing that over 20 persons were shot.
This would not have made it national unless there are fatalities.
One student said one of his classmates was shot in the leg and his teacher was shot.
One more fucking disaster that did not have to happen.

(13,081 posts)58 killed in Las Vegas, 500 wounded by gunfire. Comparable casualties to what the 82nd Airborne suffered D-Day.
And the bump stocks that made it possible are still legal and available in Las Vegas; I can buy one two hundred yards from my house.

(42,862 posts)... as an editorial cartoon, it's main purpose is to convey a commentary message that expresses the artist's opinion. The "missing" information that you characterize as being "misleading" really aren't the kind of detail that's needed to convey the artist's message and opinion. It is, after all, just a cartoon... not an editorial essay or news story.

(13,081 posts)Im just angry and frustrated. This shit could be stopped TOMORROW if enough citizens cared and enough politicians had courage.
