political persuasions can just stop, take a deep breath and see what is plainly visible, hear what is admitted, boasted of or proven beyond any doubt, and then apply their own common sense notions of morality, decency and competency, there is simply no way to justify the whores, grifters and head cases now at the wheel of our ship of state.
And, I think we are at the point where it is no longer possible to even pretend that "things will be OK" if Trump is not REMOVED from the office he sullies daily. Not defeated in the 2020 election: REMOVED FROM OFFICE---quietly or kicking and screaming; his choice. I believe that only a clear and affirmative renunciation of Trump and his minions will enable us to begin the long climb up from the pit he had dragged us into. I know there are those who believe that even mentioning impeachment is hopelessly naive and impractical. My response is to ask them to name any drastic departure from " the way things are"---from the Emancipation Proclamation to gay marriage---about which the very same criticism was not voiced.
Is Trump competent? Thoughtful? Reasonable? Moral? Tolerant? Compassionate? Kind? Mature? We all know that he is none of these.
The man is beyond unfit for office: he is an embarrassing danger to our nation and everyone in it. Is there really any question what needs to be done?
Let's do it.

Way past time to face that, to straighten our mental spines, pull up our adult undies, and dig in for the long haul.
The executive branch will be Republican controlled until 2021. If Trump goes, a more competent, dominionist Pence moves into his place, and the same people who are mostly controlling the Republican Party will now tighten their control with the zealous help of the religious right.
On November 6, we can vote a partial revolution, taking control of the legislative branch. We can check whoever is in the White House by a congress controlled by the Democratic Party. Congress legislates and controls the budget and is even more powerful than the president. The president carries out the will of congress.

imperfect plan, but the best we can accomplish until 2021 and an enormous step toward Making America America Again.
