What about human dignity ?

I usually not open "serious" threads because I really feel too limited to articulate complex thoughts in decent sentences. Which is very frustrating since I would have appreciated to take part in man interesting threads.

I'll try for once, please be kind and forgive the possible damages I'll do the English language. By the way, it will be short, and if you find the thread interesting enough, I can develop a bit more.

The GOP / Trump budget is appalling. By many sides, it is a nonsense ! Where is the money for infrastructures ? How will they get it ? The funding modality is probably not viable, especially if you take in count their absurd tax Law...It looks more like another gift to the richer.

I find disgusting to cut into social programs which represent a very small part of the global budget. To lower the Federal contribution in fields as Health, Education. These 2 are very important pillars to build a prosperous nation. The social programs to provide help to the needy are just as important. As the is the way to help them. Here comes the matter of dignity.

In the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, the human dignity is the first thing mentioned. In the 1st article, just after the preamble :

Article 1.

All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.

How will this applied if the pretended help looks more like the charity practiced in 19th century ?

How will this help anyone to get through his difficulties ? How many will simply not ask for help just to avoid to be singled out ?

Help the needy is NOT charity. It is a duty, they are part of the society. They are in a difficult position. Helping them to get back to the normal is not only a matter of moral or compassion but also an economic matter and a way to improve well-being in general. Helping them is a way to bring them again in the economic cycle which will make them contribute financially through taxes, consumption, etc.

How the Hell food boxes, allowing doctors not to provide cares in emergency rooms will do any good to anyone ???

Thank you, it is the way I think, I'm strongly convinced.

Hazards of life can bring anyone at anytime in a situation that he would never have imagined. it is not a matter of good will, it is wheels of fortune.

I live in a country very focused on well-being. One key point, is to maintain the human dignity. Help is provided in a way that no one but the needy and the workers of the different programs, knows the reality.

Because human dignity is not only a very basic right but it is helps to keep sane and go through the difficult times.

I'm not saying everything is going well here. There is still many things to improve.

I still feel frustrated because I didn't express my thoughts as I wanted. It is just the main idea.
