Melania can walk through it any time she wants. She makes the conscious choice, every day, to stay. The pain, the humiliation, the degradation, none of it outweighs whatever benefit she gets out of staying. I have no idea what that might be, but she's a person in full, with her own agency.

She knew what she was getting into. She was his 3rd wife for God's sake. She's stayed with him through all his misogynist, abusive behavior, and who knows how many affairs or one nighters. Could have walked away at any time and lived the good life just like his other 2 wives.
