I have an friend - and cranky, old white guy and big Trump supporter. I think we have enjoyed arguing with each other since Trump got the GOP nomination.
Today he asked - apparently sincerely - cogent, relevant questions about the Carter Page FISA warrant and why it was important. He was fact-checking what they were selling on Faux News.
Is he converted? Does he regret his vote? Is he rooting for Mueller? No, of course not. Is he, for the first time, questioning the nonsense being pushed by Faux News? Yeah, I think so.

The question is "What the hell was he doing working fir that administration in the first place?"
It's important to stress he has been a suspected Russian agent for years.

(11,098 posts)AND the fact the warrant was renewed means something was being found as does the fact that so many GOPers are in full panic mode.

(6,843 posts)They all took a nice big helping. I suspect folks like the NRA were laundering it in a way. They are panicked. Turtle-man and Eddie Munster took some too.
The guys who were not involved are quitting. They know what's coming.

(11,098 posts)At this point, it's enough that there was a perfectly good reason for the FISA warrant - that the warrant uncovered something - and that lots of current and former administration types are scared out of their minds.

(23,946 posts)for the original warrant is 50 pages long...Foxxx wants its minions to believe the judges, appointed by CJ Roberts, also under the Cone, are fools. They are not.

The problem was, the passages were not that far-fetched and line up with verifiable facts... Pages denials are to be expected, but prove nothing. I think her stunt backfired for anyone watching carefully. It was blatant propaganda, but raised more doubts than intended.

I'm not giving up. If nothing else, I enjoy the argument.

(6,916 posts)The propaganda is the biggest problem. Fix that, and everything else follows.
