Greece was such a beautiful country when I was there 50+ years ago.

The summer of 1967. Athens and Glyfada. Had a great time. Wonderful people.

Was in Riyadh SA in '67, when the 6 day war broke out. The American community was getting ready to evacuate and then it was over.
We were in Greece in '65 when the Papandreou government was brought down. The crowds marching through the street with torches and banners scared us. We hid in the house with the lights out peeking out the windows watching them march through the streets. Fun times and great memories.
Edit to add we were living in Kifissia at the time.
