Sanders indicated that Trumps comments were meant to reflect that he hopes all Americans domestic abusers included do well.
I think the President of the United States hopes that all Americans can be successful in whatever they do, and if theyve had any issues in the past Im not confirming or denying one way or the other but if they do, the president wants success for all Americans, Sanders said. He was elected to serve all Americans, and he hopes for the best for all American citizens across the country.
Almost all of the questions Sanders faced on Monday were about the Porter allegations and the White Houses response to them. Sanders repeatedly dodged questions about why Trump hasnt personally spoken out against against domestic violence its my job to speak on behalf of the president, Sanders said at one point and claimed reporting indicating White House Counsel Donald McGahn learned about the allegations against Porter as early as January 2017 is inaccurate.
But pressed on exactly what part of the reporting is wrong, Sanders refused to go into detail.

(37,648 posts)his misogyny and hostility towards women. He's a p___ grabber, by self-description, and an accused molester himself.
I heard on MSNBC that the White House pays the women in the admin. a whopping 37% LESS. That's more of a gap than the population in general, and WAY more than the Obama administration (I forget that percentage).
This kind of behavior shows a general disregard for women. Hitting or molesting is just a symptom. It generally extends to other things, like job assignments, pay, benefits, inclusion in inner circles, confidence, treating respectfully, etc.
A wage gap like that is real bread and butter stuff. If a woman is paid 37% less throughout her career, she will continue to be underpaid throughout her senior years, when her Social Security turns out to be MUCH less than a man's. Is there any wonder the conservatives want to take away Social Security, and decrease the COLA? That would affect mainly women, since they get much less money to begin with, and live longer.

(37,648 posts)Read up on Lily Ledbetter.
She had been underpaid for YEARS. Consequently, her SS was much lower than her co-worker males. When she found out she'd been underpaid for years, she sued. But she was barred by Statute of Limitations. She'd had only so many years from when she was underpaid, to sue. But the Catch-22 is...she had NO WAY OF KNOWING, since the company didn't allow workers to know the pay of others. The Lily Ledbetter Act changed that, making the Statute of Limitations starting to run from the time the woman found out.
That way, all companies have to do is make sure the women don't find out they're underpaid, and the company will never have to pay back pay, even if the women find out later.

(27,817 posts)... who could have been given her position - but that's par for the course when it comes to this administration.
Trump should have stuck with Scaramucci. He was as full-of-shit as SHS, but at least he was entertaining. Given that we never get the truth out of Sarah anyway, we could at least have good laugh over his antics.
