(58,698 posts)Facts are facts. Nancy led one of the most productive House terms in history. Her ability to raise money for the Party is still strong.
Bashing her just to bash her is muy counterproductive.

(82,849 posts)But her name keeps coming up in the ongoing live slam book that is our political discourse. She's too thin, she's too short, her eyes are too big, she has a funny-sounding last name, carp, complain, nit-pick. If she was an empty suit, the opposition wouldn't care. But she's effective, on so many levels in so many ways. So we get the fly-specking of all things Pelosi, some of which gulls even our fellow Democrats.

(5,272 posts)among those of us who feel that way, I don't think its a matter of not understanding that she and our other leaders bring in money. In fact, its about the money and where it comes from and how that affects our policy. Now, to what degree that happens, or whether or not it is simply a necessary evil in our political system are worthy things to debate, but pointing to the money(which the op didn't do but others have and will) and saying that that proves that she's a good leader and that only enemies of Democrats and progressive policy would try to disparage her, is working with the worst evidence possible. Plenty of other things to cite to make the case that Pelosi is a great leader, but big money ain't one.
