We've all heard "My country, right or wrong!". Unfortunately, it is usually

snarled at us by wingnuts attributing our being, say, anti-war to our disdain for our nation. Of course, the rest of the quote, from an 1871 statement by Senator Carl Schurz, is "---When right, to be kept right; when wrong to be made right." Most here---I hope---would agree that our country has made mistakes . It has sometimes strayed from it's ideals but, so far, it has always returned to them after patriots of conscience raised the alarm.

How about we treat our party allegiance with the same watchful respect we define as "patriotism" when applied to our allegiance to our nation? There must be a distinction made between trolls and troublemakers who DO want to damage our party and sincere Democrats who point out perceived shortcomings in an effort to make us better and more effective.

Of all groups, WE should not be a party where one has to "go along to get along".
