2. My 18 year old cat died suddenly a couple of weeks ago.

I think I missed something because he was getting a few mats in his fur rather than bathing as usual. Here one day and gone the next. I only wish he had a few more lives to spare. I miss him. Sad.

3. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Eighteen years is a long time to spend with another living being, human or animal.

Don't beat yourself up about not bringing him to the vet when his coat got matted. Most likely he was too far gone in an illness to be helped at that point. And always tell yourself, you did the best you could with the knowledge that you had at that point.

I really think I did.the best I could. He just didn't act sick until the last couple days. I was going to take him to the vet in the morning but he was gone when I woke up. The house just seems so empty without him. Thanks again for the sympathy. I miss him.
