So yesterday, NBC News had an exclusive about the Russians hacking state election files . . . .

. . . . and then a few more stories kind of buried in other news stories.

The Russians hacking our elections ought to be the biggest fucking story of the decade. But nope. A few blurbs and then back to the parade.

From what I can gather (I could be wrong) a woman in charge of some facet of elections for the feds gave the story to NBC, but could not go further because "it was classified".

It all smells to me as if she was told to shut up. The government has certainly not said anything about it. The GOP, in my view, would NEVER say anything because it all helps them.

So there it seems to lie. A blurb of a story and then down the rabbit hole.

would demagogue the crap on it. Demand to get in front of every microphone available and make all sorts of wild accusations.

It works for our supposed President.

When a former president from the party currently in power calls it out - it is a BFD.

They did the story with Elizabeth McFadden and then threw it to the panel to discuss.

Good!

More coverage. Hopefully this will become more widely reported.

Showing what the administration is saying. Cabinet secretaries saying the Russians meddled.

Showing Trump saying Russia is innocent and Putin is upset at the allegations.

Overall, the MSNBC story and discussion was about 7 minutes, which is pretty damned good.
