While never mentioning President Donald Trump by name, Bush appeared to be pushing back on Trumps decisions on immigration, as well as trying to have warmed relations with Russia.
-------
Bush said it wasnt clear if Russias meddling directly affected the election, though he said it was clear they tried.
Its problematic that a foreign nation is involved in our election, the former president said.

I know, I know, it's GWB, but considering his relative silence on matters since he left office, I think it's significant that he has addressed this issue.

(4,429 posts)Our democracy is being trashed. They should all meet, talk and come out with a statement. All the living Presidents (I know Carter has said some nice things about Trump - I think he's wrong).

It is a danger to start thinking that his opinion matters, he was the 2nd worst president this country had, the worst until a year ago, no one should forget it.

GW Bush denied and then ignored it.
If Hilary had won whe election, the republicans would have screamed bloody murder every day. About Russian interference.
They are quiet now and they dont care.
Bush was a disaster in 2000 and hasn't changed a bit.

Nobel Prize winning statisticians have examined the numbers & said they've been doctored. I'm still pissed that our media ignored it.
