Trumps Generals suck

We heard from the media that the Generals would keep him in check. But they all have been complicit in his behavior.

We already knew that Flynn was a wacko and extreme.
Kelly has been showing the same tendencies and is just as racist as trump.
McMaster seems very weak.
And now Mattis seems to be an enabler

1. Two choices

Usually, the generals are loath to weigh in on politics overtly. They are more than willing to allow presidents their excesses. Many of them are keenly aware of the dangers of a military that doesn't follow civilian orders. There are many exceptions of course. But you probably would never be aware of when they have significant issues with the orders their given. They generally don't allow that to be well known, even inside the military. When you WILL know, is when the "retirements" start. That's when you know guys are getting out before they have to disobey an order. They won't go "quietly" though. People in key positions, mostly on the Hill, will know why they left. It's why we need a democratic congress. We need a congress that can act on this information.

General McMaster is the current head of the NSC, and works in the White House!

You forgot Dunford, Marine General, current head of the Joint Chiefs...and as much of an enabler as Mattis and Kelly!!!

6. Most Generals got to where they are....

by playing politics within the military structure. They are extremely ambitious to get to the rank of general and often cutthroat, willing to climb on top of others. I am sick of the American tendency to canonize our Generals.

a persons wage scale and rank depend on killing other people. What do you think those ambitious assholes are going to want to do?
