Is Trump over-playing his hand with his talk about a government shut-down?

Could it be possible?

That the Republicans, especially in the Senate, may decide to ignore him this time around? And actually do something rational?

It would be good to give him a civics lesson. Let him veto their legislation and then let them over-ride his veto, with the help of Democrats.

A bully never stops until he is punched in the nose.

...to never ever again state that Trump might be "over-playing his hand". At this point, in this upside down, ridiculous, through the lookingglass shit show of a world we are living in, there is no possibility ever that Trump will overplay his hand. I used to think so. No more. There is nothing he can do at this point to over play his hand and nothing at all that will move his numbers in any more of a negative direction, and nothing at all that will get the Republicans in Congress to turn on him.

65% of the country doesn't like or approve or support him and he still is getting away with shit left and right.

The other 35% are a brain dead cult who will support him no matter what he says.

This is how it's been, this is how it is, and this is what it will be until Dems take over the senate and/or House. Period. Nothing he does or says matters or will cause that 35% to turn on him.

but, his true believers will praise him for his steadfast devotion to the cause. They are the whole country to him and he can hide in his room, tweet, and get his briefings from Faux. One can hope that his reaction to this will further put him at odds with his Congress Critters and increase the chances of a successful impeachment.

If someone had told me all those years ago, when I started voting that we would be in this situation now, that things would be so polarized between good and evil, I would have suggested making the idea into a comic book because it could never happen.

We've got a lot of work to do.
