(CNN)The House Intelligence Committee voted unanimously Monday evening to make public the Democratic memo rebutting GOP allegations that the FBI abused surveillance laws, the committee's top Democrat said, a move that will put the issue back on President Donald Trump's desk this week.

The classified memo from Rep. Adam Schiff, the top Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, is written to push back against the central allegations of the Republican memo from Intelligence Chairman Devin Nunes. Nunes' memo was released Friday and alleges the FBI abused the FISA process in obtaining a surveillance warrant on former Trump campaign adviser Carter Page.

Schiff told reporters Monday evening that the committee also agreed to send the Democratic memo to the FBI and Justice Department to play a role in Executive Branch approval process.
Schiff and other Democrats charge that Nunes' memo is inaccurate and misleading, and the 10-page Schiff memo goes point-by-point to counter the charges in the Nunes memo. Schiff has said he has given his memo to the Justice Department for review.

The Democrats’ 10-page rebuttal, written by Schiff and staffers, suggests that the Republicans’ memo is misleading and relies on cherry-picked information intended to discredit the ongoing probe into possible links between Russian agents and the Trump campaign.

Schiff: "As more and more individuals have plead guilty...snip...there is a rising sense of panic on the hill....."
He goes on to defend the good, honorable work of the FBI and Justice dept., and disparage the gop's attacks on our own people. He re-states his desire to get the investigation back onto how russia influenced our 2016 election.

He says the dems are having the memo checked by justice and FBI before releasing it, so as to minimize any tinkering the gop would do for political reasons.

Schiff is good. Awesome.

7. A reporter just asked Schiff what he'll do if frump refuses, and he didn't say what he'd do. He did

say it will be ve ry difficult for frump to refuse, since the dems are clearing it ahead of time by FBI and justice.

Basically, they're nullifying the original Nunes fake memo and exposing it as a fraud.

They're fighting back!
