Stocks drop biggest one day amount EVER!

For me, this is not worth worrying about . . . . . unless panic sets in. The fact is, the economy is doing okay and "THE MARKET" is more unrelated than not.

(38,436 posts)This drop is 4.60 percent. In looking at the comparison, the 87 drop was indeed much worse. (about 5 times worse.)

(34,076 posts)He's been touting his fantastic stock market gains - based on points, not percentages (as here, the percentage gain tells a very different story).
So - as long as he's claiming success based on points, he ought to be saddled with failure based on points.
