“Remember @equifax breach? Data stolen from millions of consumers? The former consumer watchdog @RichCordray opened a probe. It has withered under the current @CFPBDirector chief...

Three sources say, though, Mulvaney, the new CFPB chief, has not ordered subpoenas against Equifax or sought sworn testimony from executives, routine steps when launching a full-scale probe. Meanwhile the CFPB has shelved plans for on-the-ground tests of how Equifax protects data, an idea backed by Cordray.

The CFPB also recently rebuffed bank regulators at the Federal Reserve, Federal Deposit Insurance Corp and Office of the Comptroller of the Currency when they offered to help with on-site exams of credit bureaus, said two sources familiar with the matter.

Me for a year but I could not sue them. I didn’t consent but I check my credit though my credit union that gives me a free credit report every other month.

Because maybe russia hacked it? There should be congressional hearings on this already.

Our info was breached. I put a freeze on all credit. It took jumping through hoops, which was infuriating. It protects our credit, but someone out there still has our personal info.
