The Nunes Memo, in hindsight...

They say hindsight is 20/20. That may or may not be true?

But, when we see the PR effort that was put into selling the idea, it is very telling of the type of people we are dealing with.

Over and over, the right-wing media kept repeating, "Bigger than Watergate!" That idea was implanted into the minds of every FOX viewer and every talk radio listener. They were excited! It was huge!

They were ready to bury the Russia investigation once and for all. Their esteemed Leader announced to the world that he was "totally vindicated", even though the memo never mentioned his name and never charged him or cleared him of anything? Some thought it just another example of a guilty conscience.

But it is noteworthy to recognize the degree of their propaganda campaign to create "fake news" out of nothing. The conscious deceit should anger every American.

The outrage is imprinted, the details are fuzzy and immaterial. They know they hate democrats, they know they are right, but they can't tell you why if asked. Fox knows there is no need for context, just repetition and emotion.

You are correct that they will move on to something else to be angry about today.

And they'll try again and again until they're compelled to stop.
