I'm feeling kinda crucified after returning and reading some responses on my thread at 10:07 amtoday

If tRump was to call for preemptive strike on NK. Maybe i worded it wrong BUT i feel like mostly everyone hated me. The reason for the thread was in response to this thread( https://www.democraticunderground.com/10141978062) Now maybe i should not have done it, but i really was concerned that tRUMP would order this strike to stay in power? So came the question Do you think if he did this horrible thing, would he get a midterm win?? I do apologize to everyone that i upset TY

about a thread that is a response to a thread?? Why can't you just respond in original thread? Does every thought on a topic merit it's own thread?

I knew what you meant since 45 doing something would be for political reasons and it might work against him. at least that's how I understood it.

And while it is distasteful to consider, if Trump does start a war, the only hope for this country and the two Koreas is for the American people to turn against the war and to the democrats.

And I think what happened is that you scared people. It's a well known authoritarian tactic to start a war and get people to rally around the flag. It's really scary that the country might actually fall for that, so some people don't want to think about it.

...be of some conceivable benefit to a political party. To a political party!

And a whole bunch of people were attracted to this idea like flies to whatever flies get attracted to.

You and the rest of the ones who kind of agreed with your premise all sitting around scratching your chins, pontificating over whether the idea of first-strike had merit. Based on political party!

Now you want sympathy for a bunch of us getting upset at you. With bonus points for bringing up the topic in a whole new thread.

Congratulations! Now we can have folks dropping by and seeing Democrats debating in all seriousness whether a nuclear first strike would benefit the Republicans or the Democrats.

Christ on a trailer hitch.

Your original thread, because it is a pretty despicable hypothesis. I read the thread, but refused to comment there because not every topic is suitable for political discussion.

I really don't think you're sorry, you're just sorry you got nailed.

I get my shit jumped on once in awhile myself. Comes with the territory.

Don't ever be stifled by people who disagree with you. I would not expect any Democrat to back down from their point if it is well-meaning.

Sometimes, people like to read something into your post that is not there.

Laugh it off, respond as politely as you can, and that's about all you can do.

You and everyone else will move on to something else tomorrow.

Don't give nonsense a second thought, there is more to life than DU.

Have a great evening.

23. Is this a new trend?

I've seen a few threads lately by people commenting on the responses
or lack of responses
to their other threads.

I've seen a couple where someone posted threads asking why someone else's
thread didn't receive more comments.

Maybe I'm doing it wrong.
I post a thread, and I may reply to comments in that thread.

I've never thought of creating a separate thread to discuss my previous thread,
or to ask why y'all didn't respond to "John Smith's" thread.

Maybe someone can create a third thread
in response to the second thread
which inquired about the first thread?
