I bought an entrance rated transfer switch, so the whole house is hooked up. No dedicated circuits.

on Tuesdays at 1:00. We had a bitter cold snow, electricity went out and it didn’t turn on. The person who maintains it for us thinks the regulator may have frozen🙃

And, I'm sorry to hear that happened. That's a lot of money to spend to not perform when you need it.

Seems like the maintenance guy would have told us that was possible. I’ll ask my husband. And, that’s exactly what I said: spend all that money and it doesn’t work when you need it🤨 Fortunately the outage was less than 2 hours😃

You sound like my wife! We had a l ready made the purchase, and I asked her what she wanted for X'mas and her reply was "a generator." I wrapped a box that had a downloaded picture of the genny in it and gave it to her X'mas morning. She was slightly angry. "We weren't supposed to get each other anything for X'mas!" She opened it, looked at me with a laugh on her face and called me an asshole.
