I avoid them in general, it is really exhaustive to argue with them.
But sometimes, I can't help myself. I answer them in the comment section of some newspapers.
This comment is made by someone pretending to be American...
I used Google translation, I'm too tired to do it myself (it looks OK)

After an entire year of insults, defamation and threats against his teams, his family and himself, the most fair-minded, sweetest, and most intelligent president in US history whistles sweetly the end of the recess.
.
The problem with the protests is that there are always ends of protests. Turbulent elements that will never understand that the demonstrations serve no purpose other than to let off steam.
We must accept that there is no Russian affair, no impeachment, no next victory.
That's how you lost.
I answered this :
Hard to translate "Mais weed, mais weed" because I made a pun (mais oui, mais oui...) Maybe not the best translation but really, I can do better for know. If someone wants to help, he or she is very welcome
Mais weed, mais weed ... surely premium quality, no less
You forgot to mention his good manners, his courtesy and his polite and delicate language ...
Otherwise, his own lawyers are gently preparing Trump's base for a (very) possible indictment ...
The famous memo supposed to exonerate your idol is a document written by Nunes and changed by him AFTER the vote of the commission. In other words, it does not represent the work of the mentioned Commission. And even less a document that would have legal value. In any case, not to clearTrump. On the other hand, Nunes risks an unpleasant surprise ...
The point presented as central, is in fact only a "point of detail" as the other would say, and that does not change the bottom of the file.
The funniest part is that Trump is slamming people listed as Republicans and even more fun: named by him Rosenstein, Sessions and Wray among others.
Your teddy bear did not just shoot himself in the foot, he copiously sprinkled it with a kalachnikov ...
History has already proven that no one has survived long after attacking the FBI head-on.
It was an article in "Le Figaro".
If some of you are interested, just click on my nickname there (syrinx), you'll get my comments. I'm often ironic and sarcastic.

(63,221 posts)I occasionally read the English papers and they are swamped with Trump lovers. It makes me sick. I suppose idiots are everywhere.
Hi Syringis!

(2,003 posts)The far right is making inroads in Europe on the back of growing anti-immigrant sentiments. They've been emboldened by Trump's election. He's speaking to these Europeans as much as he's speaking to his American supporters.

Putin/Russia is viewed as the leader of the global movement, Trump was elected via Russian meddling, etc.

I can't translate all my comments and also, some will not have the same impact in English, but I'm really harsh in my answers.
You should see how ignorant they are about almost everything...

(63,221 posts)I am so sorry to hear that you have these horrible people in your country as well. It is depressing to think that this is a world-wide problem. I thought only Americans were this ignorant, but I now see that there are people like this in every country. It's so depressing. I think you have less of them in Europe, but still any of them is too much.

(1,735 posts)I'd suspect Russian disinformation before American expats supporting Trump. Makes a lot more sense.

Some are real and some are probably bots.
Very often, it is one person with several nicknames. It is a technique used by Rwers to make people think they are numerous.
A French made an experience : they published a controversial article and opened the comments (they are very often closed). in less than an hour, they got over 700 hundred comments. They all linked to only 6 IP...

(4,399 posts)and skew ultra-conservative. Some are also wanna-be soldier of fortune types. I knew a man who was living in China so he could learn how to beat the Chinese at their own game and a lot of other men who were "escaping the feminazis" and liked China because "they have women who know how to treat a man".
I met a pro-Trump woman from South Africa the other day but she left SA because "the end of apartheid ruined the country" so there you go. Racist assholes live in all corners of the globe.

(79 posts)UKIP for example has their manifesto as:
- Reducing net migration to ZERO within five years
- A BAN on the wearing of face coverings in public places (niqab, burkha etc)
- Withdraw from the European Union, enforce Hard Brexit
- Repeal the law requiring the UK to spend 0.7% of national income on foreign aid
- Send "as many as possible" of the 13,000 foreign nationals in British jails back to their home countries
- Refuse admission to prisons to imams or preachers known to promote views contrary to British values
- Prevent foreign criminals from entering the UK
- Fast-track deportation system for those convicted of crimes in the UK
Swedish Democrats, Front National, Geert Wilders, all the same shit, same scare tactics. Europe has been used to this kind of brand of politics for decades, whats surprising is the US right wing has copycated it (and worked) which is surprising for an immigrant country like America.

(79 posts)Numbers aren't too different to the US (which is around 40%).
Europe has far better safety net for its citizens and its not literally not an oligarchy like it is here. But people are badly mistaken if they think America is the only first world nation with significant racism and anti immigrant sentiment within large chunks of its population.
