The rest of the world sees a combination of Machiavelli, the Marquis de Sade and the Keystone Cops.

(15,303 posts)In my limited exposure to the world, the american's (well, the US) really seems to have a preference for heroes and swashbuckling, sock'em up, big weapons, SMASH/GRUNT/BOOM.
While the young adolescents of other parts of the world generally move on to more cerebral graphics arts, the US seems to be mired in VR with violence.

(5,101 posts)It is an old comic. If I remember well, 1st book of the serie, was released around 1902.
Do you know the Lucky Luke comic serie ?
It is really hilarious. I've talked about it once or twice but it didn't interest anyone
I talked about it at the time of Alabama elections. Because Moore is so caricatural with a very special and very own personal perception of Law, he reminded me the judge Roy Bean
The serie takes place in the American Old West. Many books of the serie refers to historical characters.
I love the Dalton brothers, the stupidest outlaws ever
I think my favorite comic is definitely Astérix. I prefer the ones when Goscinny were still alive. Uderzo is a great cartoonist but Goscinny was a better writter.

I envy your knowledge of this field. I'm too focused on the here-and-now and technology but I think there is a lot of overlap and collaboration.
A bien-tot!
