Its no coincidence that Nixon referred to himself in third person too when he was defending himself

I can't find the actual quote, but I remember this from high school Shakespeare -- Caesar refers to himself in the third person, even before he is formally crowned emperor, which is taken as a sign of arrogance and overweening self-importance.
