Trump Probably Thinks He's Putting One Over on Putin Somehow.
Putin thinks Trump is a fatuous moron, of course, and that the joke's on Trump, who is, himself, a joke.
Seriously, Trump's narcissism and inflated view of himself may make him believe that he has the upper hand in dealing with Putin and the Russian Federation. I know it's hard to believe, but that is just how disconnected with reality Trumpis.
