Why does Trump refer to himself in 'the 3rd person' ...

Local news showed a tweet this morning from Trump which said something like:

Trump tweeted "Nunes memo absolves Trump of collusion with Russians".

Psychologically speaking,
why not tweet " "Nunes memo absolves me ..."
why say your own name?

There must be some psychological reason a person refers to himself that way.

"H, I'm Joe. And Joe is about to have oatmeal for breakfast. And Joe may have a cup of coffee,
before Joe reads the morning paper."

Yeah, I know he's nuts (Trump, not Joe)
but why do people do that?

He’s usually revealing a disconnect between his image and who his actually is.

In this case, he’s trying to distance himself from accountability.

I’d say it’s guilt, but I doubt he feels guilt. Just fear of actually getting caught and punished.

Gwenda Blair in her book The Trumps (2000) suggests the family may be descended from an itinerant lawyer, Hanns Drumpf, who settled in Kallstadt in 1608 and whose descendants changed their name from Drumpf to Trump during the Thirty Years' War of the 1600s.[5][6][7] However, this is not in accordance with data provided by German genealogists.[4] Journalist Kate Connolly, visiting Kallstadt, found several variations in spelling of the surname in the village archives (including Drumb, Tromb, Tromp, Trum, Trumpff, Dromb) but her article does not note "Drumpf".[8] There are no indications that other spellings of the name, including Trumpf, could be related to the Trumps.[9]

His blatant social climbing is disgusting. He will never be accepted by the people that he admires. Only the trashy nouveau riche will accept him as a social figure.

'I Am A Brand,' Pathetic Man Says

The pitiful man.
SEATTLE—Sad, pathetic local web developer and blogger Phillip Cathin, 34, told reporters today that he sees himself as “a brand.”

The pitiful man, who works in development and design at the Seattle-based software company Woot, told reporters he takes time out of every day to “promote and further [his] brand” and to extend his “social and online presence.”

“I am my own product,” the little worm said while staring at a laptop and depressingly shuffling between his Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Google Plus, and Tumblr accounts, which he claimed are “essential tools for growing [his] personal brand” on a daily basis. “I think of myself as the creator, developer, and marketer of Brand Phillip Cathin. And the ideas I come up with are products produced by that brand.”

“It’s sort of like I’m the CEO of the company called ‘Me,’” continued the sad excuse for a man, briefly pausing to check for any comments on his latest Tumblr post about the future of social media. “And right now, I’m defining my company’s story, style, and strengths so that people can see what I’m about and what I have to offer.”

He equates the Trump brand with himself and as an extension of himself. He builds monuments to himself in the form of his buildings and casinos and his golf courses. So, from that warped perspective, in his mind it makes complete sense to refer to himself in the third person.

An anchor will say, "President Trump just released a new tweet today. According to the tweet, "this memo completely vindicates 'Trump.'"

He has just gotten an anchor to say "this memo completely vindicates Trump."
