Maddow: Carter Page knew about Nunes memo months in advance during nutty MSNBC interview last year
MSNBCs Rachel Maddow on Friday uncovered an intriguing subtext to the House Intelligence Committees controversial memo released earlier in the day that it may reveal a GOP scheme to turn former senior Trump campaign aide Carter Pages surveillance warrants into a plan to exonerate the president.
The memo, Maddow argues, fleshes out the timeline of Pages warrants that were granted by the secretive Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court which would mean that when he appeared in a nutty interview with her coworker Chris Hayes in late October 2017, he was likely still under surveillance.
All of Carter Paiges interviews are a little nutty, she conceded, but he said this one now very intriguing thing, not really about his own case or about Donald Trump, but about House Republicans.
I think when the truth comes out, when Speaker Raul Ryan says the FISA warrant or the details about the dodgy dossier and what happened and all the documents surround that is gonna be released, thats what Im excited about, Page said in the October 30 interview. I think the truth will set a lot of people free.

What did Carter Page know and when did he know it? Isn't this only FISA court information and supposedly secret?

(45,806 posts)continue to tell me how much they appreciate her show. Several who always need more explanation on different issues always say Rachel always explains things so well that even I understand it. Even though I MISS Keith, hiring Rachel to replace him was one of MSNBC's better moves.

(2,679 posts)Maybe Rachel reads dailykos
The important thing is that many people read and ask the same question. Why was page talking about this back in Oct. MSNBC even made it into a commercial for the network. I think all of us here have Chris Hays' voice in our heads saying, "I truly hope so because you are doing a lot of talking right now." It's right up there with "Judy from the diner," clip.

(21,946 posts)It is a pretty good subterfuge for him to behave that way all the time because who would believe that he is capable of being a spy?
With his college creds, I seriously doubt he is incapable of spying. In fact, he is exceedingly capable.
My guess is he's the bagman for the whole thing. Makes the deals that brings the rubels home to the gop.

(36,827 posts)The dipshit Carter Page had been the subject of FISA warrants going all the way back to 2014 because of his crooked Russian contacts. Unless someone is stupid enough to believe the "deep state" was after Trump in 2014, there is no "there" there.

I speak for many when I say that we don't just enjoy her show, we really like her! Pity dumpass has deprived us of our Moment of Geek, Friday night news dump and our beloved cocktail moment. Getting sent to prison was the kickoff to the weekend.
And that's the way it is!
