It would be easy to compare .. Nunes’s release of a .. memo on purported surveillance abuses to Geraldo Rivera opening Al Capone’s vault. But this would be .. unfair to Geraldo, who didn’t know .. it would be empty.

... the .. document falls .. short of what .. backers claimed ... And yet .. it also confirms .. details about the investigation that undercut Trump’s defenses against the accusations ...

... the memo .. elides .. key facts ... Page had well-established contacts with Russian intelligence figures long before he joined the Trump campaign ... <The> Russia investigation.. began .. before Steele contacted the FBI or the FISA application targeting Page was drafted ...

... the memo pivots to .. texts between FBI agents Peter Strzok and Lisa Page ... Trump-aligned outlets often describe their conversations as evidence of an internal FBI conspiracy against the president. But the Wall Street Journal reviewed more than 7,000 text messages between them and reported on Friday that it found "no evidence of a conspiracy against Mr. Trump" ...

"business partner" a Russian died under mysterious circumstances. He now has a new Russian partner in a vineyard in California. Supposedly ALL his money is wrapped up in this venture, so he is fighting to make the Russians seem like really nice guys to do business with. Vlad has a knack for choosing the weakest people to control, doesn't he? I wonder why Lyin' Ryan is in full support of Nunes? Could it be their lives are on the line, for some reason? Blackmail?

6. I think the memo was more politically damaging to Trump's enemies

When it was still secret.

I'm not sure what kind of damage it does to agents and assets in the field, but as a secret hidden document with possibly exculpatory information would have been more useful to Trump if it had remained secret.

But now, it's just another overly hyped lie. What a dumb move for Trump.
