and immediately after Nunes said he was releasing the memo, Gowdy announced he was leaving Congress.

(60,010 posts)Flynn sez he told members of the team all about his Russian dealings. Not one team member said anything to anyone about that.
Nunes has been running around acting all guilty and cover-uppy since Mueller was hired last May.
Gowdy only announced retirement earlier this week. ( some are calling him Gowdy Doody)
Seems the rats that are fleeing the ship may think that by "retiring" they are evading consequences. I am pretty sure there are lots of consequences to go around for everyone.
And by everyone, remember there are 20 or more people who were on that team, actually even more as some left, some joined.

(19,564 posts)That is until they're being interviewed by Muller. Then I'm certain their story will be they fully support the DOJ and what they do and this was all a misunderstanding.

(17,006 posts)How did he think this was ever going to work especially without Gowdy backing him?

(5,269 posts)Nunes must have not gotten back his top secret security clearance after his earlier WH stunt
Gowdy has been distancing himself and speaking out in support of Mueller because he must have found out that Trump campaign's coordination with Russia has been uncovered and more indictments are imminent. He doesn't want to go down with the sinking ship of Trump's obstruction of justice, since he wants a future high level career in justice or judiciary.

(1,387 posts)A plea deal should look mighty tempting about now. If Nunes was someone I loved, I'd be begging him to cut his losses and go see Muellar.
