Nunes is so pathetic and desperate to make this memo into a “thing” on Fox — he is attempting to smash Carter Page into the dirt by calling Carter Page an idiot, saying bizarre things about how Page had “no job” for years and was apparently wildly delusional, and implying that Page is some kind of psycho loser (but doesn’t Trump always hire the best people? Why did he hire a crazy “Russian sympathizer?”). He keeps making contradictory statements that Page was obviously an idiot, etc but that the dossier, not Page, started the whole thing. Even the Fox people look creeped out.

It is disgusting to think that this jerk, and the self-centered shell of a man who sits in the White House doing all sorts of wildly destructive things to the country (destabilizing the FISA process and the fbi will make Putin very happy and oh yeah what about those sanctions?) for entirely selfish reasons is BREATHTAKING. TERRIFYING.

3. Carter Page does seem to be a doofus, but four FISA judges also thought

he could be a Russian spy - hence the repeated issuance of FISA warrants on him. Of course Nunes and Trump's other stooges are going to diss Page - he was only ever a covfefe boy, after all - because the last thing they want is the revelation that the Trump campaign hired a Russian spy, especially if it turns out they knew he was a Russian spy. Is Page's extreme dorkiness just his cover?

It might also be enlightening to hear Nunes explain just why he's so concerned that a surveillance warrant was directed at Page: Page was known to the FBI for years -- and he had supposedly left the Trump campaign somewhat before the warrant was issued

I might (politely) suggest Nunes is weak on national security, but I'll wonder whether something deeper and darker is behind this
