How credible is the Steele dossier?

We have heard that it is mostly raw intelligence. Some information will be factual and some will not.

But we know that Trump has been obsessed about the dossier from the beginning.

It would be a mistake to totally discount all the information in the dossier.

If it was used to supplement other information in a FISA warrant, would that be illegal or wrong?

Christopher Steele, author of the dossier, had a very credible reputation with the FBI from previous work with them.

He had information before he was contacted by the DNC. That was the type of work he did.

about the Russian Asset DJT, I expect that it is at least 90% true.

The key elements are 100% true.

1. DJT has laundered millions if not billions for the Russian Crime Syndicates ( Vlad's boys )

2. Russia has Compromat on DJT and his associates ( possibly even a video tape )

3. Russia communicated to the DJT campaign using Carter Page and others (George "Coffee Boy" P)

4. Russia wanted the US to lift sanctions and not interfere with the re-established of the Soviet Union (now Soviet Empire)

5. Putin offered to DJT campaign to help with the election as quid pro quo for sanctions

6. That offer was accepted.

Trump and his whole gang are traitors (that includes Nunes and others).

First, the threshold for obtaining a FISA warrant is very low. You just need any kind of tipoff that you believe is credible. Spy world has lots of shady characters, so these don't need to come from disinterested parties, just believable ones. Second, they had other information that was sufficient to obtain the warrant, and apparently they mostly relied on that. And third, they were able to renew the warrant. Again, you don't a lot to renew, and without the underlying request, we don't know what they used. But I suspect they had enough info obtained from the first warrant to justify continuing to listen in. Which may be very incriminating for Trump because it includes a crucial period of the campaign.

Credible for someone like Mueller as he would have to verify. The parts that verify are credible by way of fact.

the Steele dossier was originally bought by a Republican Mega Donor. Let's not forget that. Another way of Trump Knee-Capping his Rivals.
