Was just curious if anybody has a list of important districts or senate seats that need donation attention?
Ive noticed most attention is going towards the presidents re-election, and rightfully so, but if we cant start turning the houses more towards us i fear we are only making it harder on him in his second term

(40,416 posts)Running against the seriously mental tea bagger, Joe Walsh.
Check her out. Former helicopter pilot in Iraq, where she had her legs blown out from under her. She's a real fighter and extraordinarily charismatic (Ch: 18).
Been working for veterans fiercly.
Her douche bag opponent complains that she's overusing military record. Apparently he doesn't like the fact that she has two artificial legs.
Brilliant choice. She lost two years ago in another district, but due to redistricting and due to the douche baggery of her opponent she stands an excellent chance this time.
She'll need help because this one could be a close one. It would be a takeover for Democrats, always good.

(541 posts)There is an important Senate race here in FL. Incumbent Dem. Bill Nelson vs. Repuke Connie Mack. Nelson was ahead, but the latest polls show him slipping behind, not good.

(78,249 posts)complete redistricting overhaul by a nonpartisan citizens' commission, plus a Louisiana-style "top two" primary system, with the November general election in effect serving as a runoff.
Two that come to mind are incumbent Jerry McNerney vs. Ricky Gill in the new, less Dem-leaning 9th, and Lois Capps vs. former Lt. Gov. Abel Maldonado in the 24th. Ironically, Maldonado created the very electoral system that propelled him into the general election, as the price for his vote to approve a Democratic budget when he was still in the state Senate.
Of the two, it appears that Capps-Maldonado is drawing in more of the big bucks, on both sides.
